"The Little Prince" Educational Complex, in cooperation with the IQ center, has included "Mental Arithmetic" in the curriculum for first-grade students since 2019, with one lesson per week.

The Mental Arithmetic textbook is provided to us by our partner, the IQ center.

The Mental Arithmetic course is conducted using a special abacus calculator.

Mental Arithmetic is a wonderful form of Japanese calculation that develops:

  • Visual, auditory, and muscular memory

  • Creative thinking

  • The ability to focus attention on a specific problem

  • Intuitive perception of numbers

  • The ability to "feel" numbers

  • Skills in visualizing and imagining a problem

As a result:

  • Children can perform quick calculations

  • Make quick decisions

  • The learning process becomes easier and more interesting

Children's self-esteem increases. The above characteristics served as an incentive to include mental arithmetic in the first-grade curriculum.
